I couldn’t wait to show you this sun-filled flower field engagement session with two dear clients Kristen and Patrick! They are so in love and in truly shows. I love being able to share their story with you today.
Whatever it takes for two people to last through a long engagement and come out on the other side even more in love, these two have it! They will have seen over two years come and go between “yes” and “I do” when they meet each other at the alter this fall, and I have to tell you, if anyone could do an engagement this long, it’s them! They are truly cherishing this season of planning and preparations for their upcoming wedding.
They are so intentional with their words, they hold each other closer when they laugh, and when given the choice to express how deeply they care for each other, they take it and run with it. You may think that this type of connection shouldn’t be that rare, but it is a true gem when I see it and brings a smile to face every time I see them together. Joy lives in the moments shared with Kristen and Patrick and I can’t wait to see what it brings this fall!
I cannot get over how beautiful this all white bridal session with Macy turned out! It is so incredible to have a vision for something and finally see it come to reality. When I first met Macy over a year ago, one of my very first thoughts was “Wow! She is strikingly beautiful!” and I was secretly hoping that I would get to do photos for her one day, so as you can imagine it was surreal to have that come to fruition!
My other thought was “She has INCREDIBLE style!” I’ve never seen someone pull off the outfits that Macy would show up in as well as she does. So, it wasn’t a surprise that she would have that same discernment with her gown and styling, she was a vision! She wanted something super clean and “kinfolk” inspired for her bridal session, so shooting in a studio fit the bill. I knew we needed to make an impact, so we decided to let her beauty do the talking, keeping everything white and neutral. This allowed us to really showcase the dress using only muted colour in the floral bouquet. From head to toe, Macy’s beauty is evident and she is graceful and from the inside out. Thank you Macy for allowing me to capture this all white bridal session for you!

Madison and Garrett’s grey and floral outdoor wedding is a true indication that God’s hand has been in their lives since day one.
He brought both Garrett and Madison to faith in high school, but really showed them what it looked like to live out their faith in college at DBU. Through DBU they each met life-long friends and had a similar friend group starting freshman year in 2012. In 2013, they moved across from each other in the campus town-homes (1oC & 9C).
Being neighbors, Madison and Garrett saw each other almost everyday. Every fall, Garrett’s town-home would bring their TV outside to watch football, grill steaks or order pizza… and Madison’s town-home would always end up joining them; either drawing with sidewalk chalk or doing homework.
For Christmas, 10C would throw a themed party and the girls of 9C would help host. According to well, everyone, Garrett had always been in love with Madison, but had never admitted it. Finally in 2015, after a friend’s ski trip to Colorado, Madison and Garrett started dating. It didn’t take long for them to start dreaming about getting married, buying a house, getting a dog, and traveling the world… So after 10 months of dating, Garrett took Madison on an all-day date to the zoo, dinner in Downtown McKinney, and then finally asked, “Will you marry me?”
P.S. They did get a black lab, Cooper, the sweetest and most loyal puppy.
It was such a pleasure being able to capture this special grey and floral outdoor wedding day for these two beautiful souls.
