She always knew she wanted to marry a Pine Cove boy. There’s just something about a guy who is willing to sacrifice his whole summer to be tackled by 8 year old boys that is just so endearing. Little did Kendall know, that her second summer as a Pine Cove Outback counselor would bring the man of her dreams. We talked for hours on our off days during our first summer as counselors together about our “dream men” and Kendall always insisted that she would meet her husband at Pine Cove. She was adamant and very convincing. Little did we all know, that she was right.
Tanner is an All American guy. Fun, quick witted, athletic and caring, he is exactly what Kendall, a fun, quick witted, outgoing, loving girl needs. We all knew that there might be a spark between the two of them around week 2 of the summer of 2009…and we were all right. I’ll never forget spotting Kendall flirt with Tanner out on the canoeing island. Laughing as she only does when she is flirting, knees on hands, hair flying around. She hit is shoulder as she walked away, and I saw his eyes watch her as she left as sneakily as he could. I knew it. As all Pine Cove romances go, it had to be kept under wraps but there was just something about their new found love that they couldn’t hide…and before the next off day came around, we all knew that they were “official”.
It takes a special person to make a relationship work while off at camp, but it takes two incredible people to make one work while they’re both at camp, and these two…they had what it took plus more!
I couldn’t be more excited or blessed to call these two friends, and clients. Nor could I be more pumped to share our super fun engagement session with you guys!
I couldn’t be more blessed by you two! I am so thankful for our summers together and now, the time we get to spend during such a special time of your lives! Love you!
